Two ways to meet
without saying a word
Most dating apps ask you to find each other from scratch. CarDate starts from something that already happened: you were both on the same road, in cars you both would have looked twice at.
1. The pass
With drive-by matching switched on, your phone quietly checks for other members nearby while you're moving. A pass is only recorded when two members are genuinely close for a meaningful stretch — stopped alongside at a light, in the same convoy, parked in the same row.
Nothing appears in real time. That's deliberate: no one can see where you are right now, and no one can follow a live dot around a map. Passes surface later, as history.
2. The timeline
When you're home, your day reads like a logbook. Tap a moment to see who was there and decide.

3. The badge
Not everyone you impress is running the app. The badge covers that: a designed QR plate for your rear quarter that opens your public profile on any phone. They scan, they see your car and your first name, and if they like what they see they can swipe — and you decide whether to swipe back.

Unlocks the moment you both swipe right: socials, full name, exact suburb, and anything else you move into this tier.
Hidden
Stored for you and shown to nobody. Number plates and workplaces sit here by default and we recommend leaving them.
